Veloretti
Veloretti was founded in Amsterdam in 2012 with a mission to make clean, timeless e-bikes that are great quality and delivered to your door at a fair price. For their latest campaign, we were asked to bring this campaign to life with a subtle blend of sound design and music.
Brief
The brief was to bring real-life moments to life through sound design and music. Our goal was to infuse these moments with realism and a human touch. The project centered around showcasing the Veloretti e-bike in various everyday scenarios, and we approached it with careful consideration for both sound and music.
Execution
For the sound design, we aimed to capture the essence of each moment authentically. This involved paying attention to the small details that often go unnoticed but contribute significantly to the overall atmosphere. Whether it was the subtle hum of city traffic, the rustle of leaves on concrete, or the gentle tapping on a bicycle seat, we crafted each sound to evoke a sense of familiarity and immersion.
Additonally, we composed music to complement rather than overpower the visuals. We opted for a minimal composition that served as a subtle backdrop, allowing the moments on screen to take center stage.Rather than incorporating traditional instrumentation, we decided to use the sounds of the e-bike to create melody and rhythm, and also integrate the switch on and off sounds of the e-bike itself into the score. Our goal was to evoke emotion without detracting from the authenticity of the scenes.
Result
Overall, our approach to sound design and music in this project was focused on enhancing the everyday moments depicted on screen. Through attention to detail and a thoughtful integration of the Veloretti e-bike’s sounds, we were able to create a dynamic and emotionally resonant audio landscape that brought the narrative to life in a unique and memorable way.
