BAD GUY - BILLIE EILISH
Billy Eilish is once again headlining our “ones to watch" playlist. 'Bad Guy' tells the story of Billie taunting her lover while flaunting her tough nature. The song has a heavy bass-line that playfully guides you through the song while you listen to her almost whispered lyrics.
STROMBOLI - SIMON ON THE MOON
Swedish pop creative Simon On The Moon is releasing his second single this the year; 'Stromboli'. The new track follows up last month’s release; 'Lied 2 U', and continues down that path of R&B-influenced pop (inspired by Frank Ocean) as he combines delicate, breathy vocals with vivid live instrumentation built around a sturdy, driving groove.
NOTHING REALLY MATTERS - GABRIELLE APLIN
After gaining a big following by releasing acoustic covers on YouTube, Gabrielle Aplin is now releasing 'Nothing Really Matters' as a teaser for her upcoming 3rd album. Aplin is best known for her stripped-back, delicately composed folkpop songs, so releasing an exuberant electro-pop anthem is a bit of a curve ball, but one we would gladly catch!
WIN YOU OVER - WHETHAN, BEARSON, SOAK
Whethan is only 19 years old, but is already having great success with his music, topping charts collaborating with Dua Lipa, Charli XCX or Flux Pavilion and supporting The Chainsmokers on their world tour. For his latest single, Whethan worked together with Bearson and Soak to produce a disco-pop track with infectious vocals and danceable basslines.
STEADY HAND - TOMMY ASHBY
Having a PhD in the perception of sound, Tommy Ashby truly knows how to make his music impactful. His latest song 'Steady Hand’ consists of a steadily mounting wash of rich guitars, tender vocals and a touch of infectious songwriting that illustrate the frustrations and overwhelming loneliness while touring the world as a musician.
SOUTHSIDE - DJ SNAKE, EPTIC
It is clear that Dj Snake is preparing for the festival season and his upcoming performance at this year’s Coachella. After releasing the single ‘Try Me’ with Plastic Toy, he now releases his new face melting and attacking dubstep-banger ‘Southside’. The track is co-rerelease with the Belgian producer Eptic and it’s screeches and rumbles are enough to make 2012 blush!
